A Cult leader affects his victims by infiltrating their psyche, by
penetrating their defenses like a virus would. His voice echoes through them,
it talks to them, it walks with them. The cult leader forces the victim to
develop a “Cult Self”. It grows out of the trauma and the abuse inflicted upon
the victim by the abuser, the tyrant Leader of the cult.
He invades their territory, their inner self, abuses their confidence,
exhaust their resources, hurts their loved ones, threatens their stability and
security, involves them in his paranoid states of mind, frightens them out of
their wits, humiliates and insults them privately and in public, points up
their shortcomings, criticizes them in a scientific and objective manner and
this is only a partial last. The victim experience is one of tremendous shame
and anger for they’re past helplessness and submissiveness. They're hurt by the
experience of sharing a fake existence with a fake person, the cult leader.
They often suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Very often, the cult leader acts
sadistically in the guise of interest
in the welfare of his victims. He acts as a guru to the victim, of a Father
figure, Mother figure or a teacher, the only true friend they have. The victim
always tries to understand their abusers; often they fall in love with their
abusers and frequently make excuses for the inexcusable act and crimes they
mitigate within their private holocaust. They will legitimize and hide their
crimes. They lie to themselves. They're not in touch with their real emotions.
And in this way perpetuate their own abuse and terror. They collaborate with
the terrorist that are and were their only family the cult leader himself. As a result of the trauma and the abuse
inflicted upon you, he is now inside you, an alien growth, and a spiritual
cancer that is a result of being a member of his or her cult. To cope you are
forced to walk on egg shells.
Great efforts are required to abandon a cult leader. Physical separation is
only the first step. One can abandon a cult leader but the cult leader is slow
to abandon his victims. He is still there, lurking, rendering existence unreal,
twisting and distorting with no letting up or no letting go. He is an inner remorseless voice, lacking in
compassion. The cult Leader spirit remains long after he has vanished in the
flesh. The very hearts of the cult leader’s victims are captivated. The victims
become immorally not in touch with their real emotions and in this way they
perpetuate your own abuse and their own torture. They collaborate with these
terrorist as they are and were their only family.

- To decide when to apply the one or the other method rests with the analyst's skill and experience. Practical medicine is, and has always been an art, and the same is true of practical analysis. True art is creation, and creation is beyond all theories. That is why I say to any beginner: Learn your theories as well as you can, but put them aside when you touch the miracle of the living soul. Not theories, but your own creative individuality alone must decide. ~Carl Jung, Contributions to Analytical Psychology, Page 361
